Adding, modifying and deleting a company
You probably already read our article on the list of companies, right? Let's take a closer look at how to add, modify and delete a company.
When adding an e-mail address to the E-mail for invoices field, the invoices that are created for this contact are automatically sent to this address. If the field is not filled, the invoices are sent to the regular e-mail address.
TIP! Add mandatory fields (go to Settings > Validation), so whenever any of your team members adds a new company, the mandatory fields, for example, e-mail and reg. no need to be filled in before being able to save the company.
Assigning categories and tags enables you to find clients quickly by search criteria.
If a contact has been marked as a client, you can invoice them.
If a contact is in the supplier list, you'll be able to see the supplier report for that company. Read more on suppliers.
Each company has to have a manager. Managers help to divide clients among the sales team, for example.
Fill in all the fields that are important to you and Save.
To modify the company info, click on the icon before the company name and the modify view is displayed.
You can also click on the company name and then on the modify button.
In order to delete a company, you need to be given rights for your user role by the administrator under User roles.
When that right has been given, you can see a Delete button in the modify view.
It is also possible to add a new company to your contact base while creating a new task, event, invoice, quote or order. This means that if you need to create a quote for a new contact, you don't have to add the company with all of its contact details to the contact base beforehand.
Clicking the + button opens the view for adding a new contact.
Who are related users?
Each contact has one manager, whose list the contact is displayed in. If user role permissions prohibit users from seeing contacts of others, you can still enable them to view your contacts by choosing related users.
To view contacts as a related user, open the list view of contacts and tick the box Also as related user.
